LC AND EM GO TO OLD NAVY: PART TWO
Hey gal pals! It’s LC here, and I’m so excited to share this dual try-on that we did this morning at Old Navy. You might remember our last Old Navy try-on blog post. We got a bunch of positive feedback, which has inspired us to do it again! Today our stores were putting out new items as we were there! It’s very exciting (for us, anyway, and we hope for you, too!) to share new arrivals as they come into our favorite stores. Old Navy is one of our go-to stores for the gal on a budget. There’s such a fun mix of every day basics, workwear, on trend patterns and styles, activewear, and of course you can shop for your entire family while you’re there. Many of these items are on sale, some with additional savings (up to an extra 30% off!) using code MORE. There are a few exclusions, especially with the popular items and newer releases.
Let’s Get Shopping!
In addition to a well stocked clearance section (We’re talking about styles starting at $3.99!), Old Navy is rolling out a bunch of transitional pieces that will style beautifully layered for the winter, and then be perfectly appropriate into the spring and summer months. Personal style is all about stepping outside of your comfort zone and taking risks. We’ve been taught that white, especially white pants, are a no-no before May. One of my favorite fashion risks is white pants in the pre-spring months- I love to pair with warm sweaters, layered with spring hues. This button-fly white denim incorporates warm winter hues by adding rose gold buttons, which is a favorite feature of mine. I’ve layered it with a cozy mock-neck sweater, and this super sale gingham button down top for a pop of spring. It’s marked down to $12! A quick note about sizing- I sized up to a 6 in the white denim, and would buy a 6P. Emily is wearing a 0 in the photo, but would buy a 00P. The sweater is true to size. I am wearing a medium, but tried on a small in a different color and liked both. You can shop each photo using the thumbnail pictures below.
Perfect for Spring!
This sweet ruffle detail top is another spring roll-out at Old Navy. I love it as a layering piece, but it stands alone fabulously as well. The chewed hem jeans are exactly what I’ve been hunting for. I was SO into this Abercrombie pair, but the fit wasn’t quite right for me. Enter Old Navy to save the day. These are absolutely perfect, and I feel so good in this fit. I am wearing size 4 in these jeans, making them true to size. They have a good amount of stretch, so I would not recommend sizing up. If between sizes, you may want to choose your smaller size. I am wearing a small in the cardigan and Swiss-dot top, Em is wearing an extra-small.
Casual Valentines Day Outfit Inspo
Basics are the bread-and-butter at Old Navy. I’m always impressed by their striped offerings, and you gals know how much the Besties love a striped top. Neither Emily nor myself would typically gravitate to this rugby stripe pink-on-pink top, but we both found it too cute to pass by, especially paired with this coordinating scarf for fun stripe-on-stripe pattern mixing. The scarf is on sale for $10 right now! Add our favorite distressed denim jacket, which is currently on sale for $32 (rare for this popular and generally excluded from sales style), to this look and you are good to go for a sweet February look. In addition to this tone-on-tone stripe, we’re loving this better basic, which features a tie at the arm. It pairs well with the same coral and pink lightweight scarf, this time featuring contrast. I also love it with both the scarf and this incredibly versatile sweater coat, which functions as a light coat or oversized cardigan. I love it rolled at the sleeve. Here, I am wearing a 4P in these chewed hem jeans, a medium in the sweater coat, and a small in the stripe top. The coat fits true to size, however since I was looking for an oversized item to pair with the fitted jeans and top, I opted for the size up.
Typical for January, I found myself grabbing all the things in the activewear section (aka athleisure, whichever word fits your lifestyle). This season brings us pretty pinks, purples, and grays. For me, nothing is more motivational than new workout gear. I get excited to wear it out for a workout! Kristin is the Bestie’s fitness guru, and Old Navy activewear is her absolute favorite. The lavender compression top was a favorite- I really liked the material and the stretch, plus I love that it has cooling vents in the back. The floral leggings are so fun, and the Moto leggings go from gym to everyday effortlessly. Some of these items are on mega deal, and some of them are new for spring! I am wearing a small in all items pictured.
