J Crew Factory Spring Preview

J Crew Factory Spring Preview

We are here to show you some of the trendy spring styles for women a la J Crew Factory. Yesterday I got to spend the morning at my local J Crew Factory store. The new spring line has arrived, and I got to have an early peek at it. I had the entire store to myself in which to style and play dress up. Basically a girls’ dream, amirite? Let me just say this, if you like feminine, classic pieces in the most trendy spring colors, then you should probably keep reading. More items are arriving next week, so I am already scheduled to go back, but for now, I will share what I love so far! Take a peek at my spring line try-on!

Feminine Sweaters

There was no shortage of adorable feminine sweaters. The lightweight fabrics make them a wear-with-pants now and wear-with-shorts later. For J Crew Factory’s spring line, it really is all about the details. From floral collars to scallop hems, all pieces have that unique feel. All three of these sweaters are on sale for under $40- two of them are under $30!

Wear with Shorts Styles

Confession: my favorite look is a sweater or sweatshirt with shorts. So, spring is clearly my jam. Luckily for me, the current styles at J Crew Factory lend themselves to make all of my style dreams come true. Let’s take a look at some!

The denim shorts and white shorts are both under $35. The Le Weekend sweater might be my favorite find at under $40. Royal blue and bright white will forever be one of my favorite fresh summer combinations. This under $35 cotton Teddie sweater is lightweight and sure to be a favorite for summer. So many great colors to choose from! Great for work and for play.

Flattering for Everyone Dresses

Ya’ll know that KB is our resident dress bestie. It is rare that I gravitate toward a dress. However, it should be noted that I love a good smocked dress as much as a good pair of jeans. So, when I saw this dress in both a floral print and a solid black, I had to try them on.

Styled with two of my favorite must-haves: a chambray top and the scallop sweater!

Oh hey, Chambray

But if you don’t have a chambray top in your closet, are you even ready for spring?! Mine is from J Crew Factory from years ago! It makes an appearance with my outfits during any season. A chambray top is the answer to a lot of style dilemmas. Too hot for a denim jacket? Chambray top. Need to define a waist on a swing dress? Chambray top. Plain sweater with bottoms seems to blah? Chambray top. The perfect backdrop to a let a statement necklace or scarf shine? Chambray top. I could go on, but you would stop reading, so let’s just take a look for ourselves!

Suffice it to say, if you don’t already have a chambray top, ya need it. We can easily see this item making the BD Top Five List!

Wrap Skirt Styling

A few other key pieces from my try-on are going to round out this post! The feminine and frilly details on this wrap skirt leave me wanting to pair it with all the things. I can picture it with a great tank for summer and the best rattan purse. For now, a chambray shirt and some white sneakers are a great companion. I am wearing XXS, and it should be noted that the back is elastic-which I think makes it fit better- but still has a working wrap tie.

Drop Waist Dress

This drop waist dress features a lightweight sweatshirt top with a chambray bottom. I am wearing size XXS. I love how comfortable it is and how easy it is wear. If you aren’t sure that the drop waist life is for you, but you like the overall style and idea of the look, try adding a fun pop of color around the waist. It helps define the waist a bit more- making it almost appear as a top and skirt. It could also come in handy if you need another layer later.

Swingy Dress Styling

If drop waist just really isn’t your jam, perhaps you prefer this swingy dress! I know that you can grab this little number at one of our favorite budget friendly retailers, but I will say that there is a true difference in the quality. Plus, this one has pockets. I added one of your favorite items from winter that now comes in a spring hue, as well as the ever loved chambray top.

We just can’t quit the chambray top
SO many of ya’ll bought this under $25 cape in the tan. Grab this pretty pink color for spring!
